How it works
- Rectangle: length × width
- Triangle: base × height ÷ 2
- Circle: π × diameter² ÷ 4
Add every section together. Square yards = sq ft ÷ 9, and square meters = sq ft ÷ 10.764.
Worked example
A 12 × 10 ft room:
- 12 × 10 = 120 sq ft
- 120 ÷ 9 = 13.33 sq yd
- 120 ÷ 10.764 = 11.15 m²
