⚖️Kitchen Unit Converter: Cups, Grams, Spoons & More
Pick your ingredient and units — we handle the tricky cups-to-grams maths for flour, sugar, butter and friends.
Convert
1 cups of all-purpose flour
120 grams
- 16.0 tablespoons
- 48.0 teaspoons
- 8 fluid ounces
- 237 millilitres
- 120 grams
- 4 ¼ ounces
Spoon flour into the cup and level it off — scooping packs in up to 25% extra!
How it works
- Volume to volume uses fixed ratios: 1 cup = 16 tbsp = 48 tsp = 8 fl oz = 236.6 mL
- Volume to weight depends on the ingredient, because a cup of flour weighs much less than a cup of honey
- We use a grams-per-cup value for each ingredient (e.g. flour 120 g, sugar 200 g, butter 227 g)
Worked example
2 cups of all-purpose flour × 120 g = 240 g. The same 2 cups of granulated sugar is 400 g, and 2 cups of butter is 454 g (about 1 lb).
