Tile is labor-heavy. Tiling just the floor and shower walls (not every wall) keeps costs in check.

How it works

A base price per square foot covers labor, demo, electrical and ventilation. We add each item you tick at low, typical and high prices for your level. Primary baths get a larger shower and a double vanity; half baths skip the tub. Your regional multiplier is applied last.

Worked example

A 50 sq ft full bath, mid-range, replacing tub/shower, vanity, tile and toilet:

  • Labor & base: 50 × $130 = $6,500
  • Tub/shower $5,000 · Vanity $2,000 · Tile 50 × $38 = $1,900 · Toilet $800
  • Typical ≈ $16,200 (range about $10,450 – $23,400)

Questions people ask

A mid-range full bathroom often costs $12,000–$25,000. Primary baths with high-end finishes can exceed $50,000.
